Spanish fisherman suffers heart trouble off the Kerry coast

A Spanish fisherman is in a stable condition at Kerry General Hospital after experiencing heart trouble while on board a fishing vessel off the Kerry coast. The Fenit Lifeboat rescued the man after Valentia Coastguard began to co-ordinate the rescue operation at around 11.30 last night.Sea conditions were good when the 52-year-old fisherman fell ill more than 100 miles off the coast, west of the Shannon Estuary. The lifeboat crew of six arrived into Fenit at 10 o’clock this morning and the Spanish sailor was immediately taken to hospital.
