Son of late Kerry senator says Mrs Haughey had close connection to Dingle

The son of late Fianna Fail Dingle Senator Tom Fitzgerald has offered his sympathies following the death of Maureen Haughey, wife of the late former Taoiseach Charles Haughey.
Breandán Fitzgerald echoed Maureen’s son Seán Haughey remarks when he tweeted this morning saying his mother, a truly remarkable woman, had passed away peacefully, aged 91.
She is survived by her family, Eimear, Conor, Ciaran, and Seán.
Earlier Fianna Fail Leader Micheal Martin said he and the entire Fianna Fáil organisation across the country send their condolences to the Haughey and Lemass families.
Breandán Fitzgerald said that Mrs Haughey had a strong connection to Dingle and his own family:
