Skellig Rangers Retain Intermediate Status

Skellig_Rangers_GAA_CrestSkellig Rangers retained their Intermediate status for 2016 when defeating Finuge 1-7 to 0-7 in a relegation playoff at John Mitchel’s grounds last night. In a low scoring game, the sides were level on 0-5 apiece at the break but a goal at the three quarter stage by Rangers’ Micheál O’Sullivan was the decisive score. They will be replaced in the Intermediate grade by St Michaels -Foilmore, Ardfert, the losers of the Austin Stacks/Laune Rangers relegation playoff and Templenoe, winners of the Junior Championship. In a Senior Football League Div 2 Round 10 fixture, St Mary’s were 1-14 to 1-7 winners over Gneeveguilla.
