Sinn Féin TD says jobs recovery in Kerry moving too slowly

The jobs recovery in Kerry is moving far too slowly according to a Sinn Féin TD. Martin Ferris Martin Ferris made the comments following three successive months of increases in the numbers signing on the Live Register in the county. The Kerry North-West Limerick deputy said that a huge number of those who have signed off have not taken up meaningful employment. He said that for every job created under this government’s watch five people have emigrated adding that Ireland has the third highest rate of underemployment in the EU and the second highest percentage of low-paying jobs amongst the OECD countries.
