Sinn Fein is calling for people to take to the streets to protest at a lack of funding for Tralee General Hospital. Yesterday Radio Kerry outlined details of a letter from Dr Tom Mc Cormack, Consultant Surgeon at Tralee who said the facility is underfunded by one and a quarter million this year.Deputy Ferris says there should be mass movement of people to highlight the seriousness of the situation. His consitituency colleague Jimmy Deenihan claims protests have yielded nothing in the past. Highlighting his concern at the closure of 30 beds for the summer months he says the Minister should send an official to Tralee to talk to the staff at the hospital.
