The Health Minister, Simon Harris, will address the third day of the IMO’s Annual General Meeting in Killarney later today.
The Irish Medical Organisation’s welcoming a deal reached with the Government on getting FEMPI cuts reversed.
GPs have agreed to productivity steps to get the cuts reversed, after lengthy negotiations with the Department of Health.
IMO Incoming President, Dr Padraig McGarry, says the cuts must be reversed to fill empty roles.
The IMO also says doctor burnout must be urgently tackled.
Dr McGarry says burnout is a major problem due to the workload.
