Significant increase in drug arrests in Kerry

There’s been a significant increase in the cultivation and the possession of drugs for personal use in the Kerry Garda division in the past 12 months. That’s according to Chief Superintendent of the Kerry Garda division Pat Sullivan, who says the most common drug seized this year was cannabis. Tralee cannabis seizure Amphetamines, ecstasy and cocaine were also seized in Kerry in the past 12 months. Heroin seizures in the county have also slightly increased, a trend which is concerning to Gardai.
