Shannon Airport upturn augurs well for Kerry

tourismireland     The upturn in Shannon Airport’s fortunes augurs well for Kerry’s tourism prospects for 2014. That’s according to Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland. His group markets Ireland overseas as a tourism destination. Mr Gibbons believes the new flights announced for Shannon Airport should boost visitor numbers to Kerry. The Gathering  has been a year-long initiative to celebrate Irish culture and history. Niall Gibbons says the county should now look to build on the success of the Gathering.
