See Something Say Something initiative may be rolled out in other Kerry towns

An initiative that allows the public to report incidents of suspicious behaviour to Gardaí may be rolled out in other towns in Kerry.

Garda in Tralee say the See Something Say Something campaign, which is run in association with Tralee Chamber Alliance, has been a huge success.

They’ve responded to 146 texts since November of last year, resulting in eleven arrests and ten prosecutions.

It was also revealed that the average response time is under ten minutes in the Greater Tralee area.

At a recent Joint Policing Committee meeting, Kerry gardaí say the initiative may be rolled out across the entire division.
