Saudi Arabian banking family representative appointed to Kerry Airport board

A representative of a Saudi Arabian banking family has been appointed to the board of Kerry Airport.

According to the Irish Examiner, the appointment of Sammy Haress arises from a vacancy on the 12-member board.

He’ll represent Glenmore Capital, a Kerry Airport shareholding company; the late Sheikh Khalid bin Mahfouz made the initial investment in the 1990s.

Mr Haress is a qualified engineer and chief executive of Jetstream Aviation, a VIP private jet management and operations company.

Kerry Airport is due to hold its Annual General Meeting in June.
