There was plenty of badminton action in the Kingdom this weekend with a mix of senior and juvenile action.

Tralee Sports Complex played host to the CPC.ie sponsored Kerry Badminton singles Championships for Division 2's and 4's on Friday night.

The Division 2 Men's Championship was a hotly contested affair with Listowel being strongly represented. Both semi finals were 2 set events with Michael Belov Flanagan defeating Alvin Rahman 21 13, 21 11 in the first. Oscar McElligott, last week's Division 3 champions disposed of Jebbin John, Tralee, 21 18, 21 12 in the second semi which set up an all Listowel final.

Belov Flanagan continued he's great run of form against McElligott to run out a 21 16, 21 19 winner. It's safe to say that we will see alot more of both of these young guns over the coming years.

The second semi final saw last week's Division 3 champion, Adele O' Brien, up against Michelle Beazley from Kingdom. It was Beazley who progressed on a score of 21 16, 21 19.

The silverware went Moyvane's direction as Helen Browne was crowned champion on a score of 21 16, 21 10.
