Rural Dwellers Asspocation defends their position on levies

The Kerry Branch of the Rural Dwellers Association has defended their position amidst criticism for not making a submission against the introduction of development levies. The levy adopted yesterday by Kerry County Council applies to all houses in excess of 130 square metres on an unserviced site and comes into effect in mid June. Chairman of the Kerry Branch, Tom Lynch says they made their opposition to the levies known to public representatives 12 months ago. He says he expected them to keep their word.
