Works on the construction of the N86 road between Camp and Lispole are intensifying from today.
To date, works on the two sections of road being improved – between Lispole and Ballynasare Lower and Ballygarret and Camp – have generally been off-road.
From today, on-road works will take place between Ballygarret Bridge and Camp for two weeks, with a stop/go system in place.
Traffic control will also be required in the coming weeks at Ballynasare Lower near Lispole to facilitate widening and realigning the road.
The council says delays should be expected, and motorists should drive with additional care due to an increase in construction traffic.
