The Road Safety Authority is investigating reports of a data breach on the National Driver Licence Service website. A motorist in Co. Monaghan reported seeing other drivers’ personal data on his screen when sending an email via the ‘Contact Us’ portion of the NDLS site. ndlsThe applicant revealed he was able to read correspondence from different applicants giving security details of driving licences being renewed from others areas, including Co. Cork. Meanwhile – people hit by a security breach involving Supervalu and Axa Insurance are being urged to check their statements. A Clare based company –  Loyaltybuild – which operated getaway breaks says it’s been the target of a sophisticated criminal attack which has seen the details of at least 70,500 customers compromised. The scam has affected around half a million people across Europe.
