Restaurants Association of Ireland defends it’s reputation

The Restaurants Association of Ireland is defending its reputation against consumers who have labelled the industry as a rip off. The group`s Chief Executive says prices across the board have escalated and in order to stay in business these costs are passed on to the customer. Henry O Neil says restaurants cannot compete with countries in the Euro Zone that have a vat rate of 7%. A value menu initiative is in its third year in Kerry. He says these value offers are available in up to 70 restaurants across the county.
