The number of repossession orders granted for properties in Kerry reduced by 70% over a two-year period.
The most recent figures from the Courts Service show there were 14 repossession orders granted for Kerry homes in 2017.
The Courts Service tracks the number of repossession orders lodged throughout Ireland.
In Kerry in 2015, 104 orders for repossession were lodged, while 40 were granted.
This increased the following year, with 214 orders lodged and 42 granted.
According to the most recent figures available, there was a considerable reduction in repossession orders lodged and granted in 2017: 91 were lodged and 14 were granted.
The majority of these were for primary homes, as opposed to buy-to-let properties.
The Courts Service does note that the granting of a repossession order does not necessarily mean that the property was vacated or repossessed in that year, if at all.
