Report will determine next step in Dingle lorry crash investigation

Gardai say the outcome of an examination of a lorry that crashed into a shop front in Dingle will determine the course of their investigation. The incident happened almost two weeks ago. Dingle lorry close-up The waste disposal truck hurtled down Green Street around lunchtime on July 30th striking parked cars. It then crashed into the shop front of the Woollen Store in Holy Ground. No-one was seriously injured but the driver, who was praised for his quick thinking in alerting those on the street, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Gardai say they have interviewed eye witnesses who were on the street at the time and the owners of cars that were damaged. They have also made initial contact with the owner of the truck Kenmare Waste Disposal and Glass Recycling Limited. The Garda PSV officer James O’Brien has examined the truck and is preparing a report. Gardai say that report will determine the next stage in their investigation.
