Reboot Ireland has made no approaches to Kerry independents

Kerry County Council entrance Kerry’s seven independent county councillors say they haven’t been approached by TD Lucinda Creighton and her supporters to join her new political party. Last week the former Fine Gael junior minister announced she was starting a new party, which currently has the working title Reboot Ireland. Independent councillors in Kerry, along with their counterparts across the country, have been approached by Dublin South TD Shane Ross. Deputy Ross and Roscommon South Leitrim TD Michael Fitzmaurice have launched a new political alliance for non-party politicians. Separately, independent councillor Sam Locke from Tralee says he’s been contacted by newly elected independent Senator Gerard Craughwell. He says the senator wants to look at possible alliances between various politicians ahead of a future General Election.
