Rathmore actor awarded Eamonn Kelly bursary

The recipient of the 2017 Eamonn Kelly bursary is Margaret O’Sullivan, an actor from Rathmore2017.The special presentation took place at Killarney Library this week.Margaret intends to develop her practice by attending a number of specialised theatre training courses in Dublin and Cork. On Hand to present the bursary was, Cathaoirleach of the Killarney Municipal District Councillor Brendan Cronin and Sister of the late Eamon Kelly Bríd Sugrue. A Rathmore actor has been awarded the 2017 Eamonn Kelly bursary.

Margaret O’Sullivan was presented with the accolade at a recent ceremony in Killarney Library.

She hopes to attend a number of specialised theatre training courses in Dublin and Cork.

The Eamon Kelly bursary is funded by Kerry County Council and aims to support arts development in the Killarney Municipal District.

It honours the memory of Gneeveguilla actor and seanchaí, Eamon Kelly.
