Rapid seminar takes place in Tralee

A Rapid seminar in Tralee today heard that no incident is too small to be reported to either the Gardai or your local authority. Paul Moynihan Senior Executive Officer with The Housing and Community Directorate with Cork City council said every complaint is logged and treated equally under the presumption it will end up in court.Speaking at today`s Rapid Seminar, Paul Moynihan said that a multi agency approach to anti social behaviour is the most effective. Mr. Moynihan emphasised the importance of ownership and residents taking responsibility in their own areas. He also said while in the short term it is important Rapid can identify anti social behaviour black spots so the local authorities can improve or eliminate them. In the long term the broader role of Rapid in the development of community infrastructure is essential, taking proactive and positive preventative measures to improve opportunities for young people
