Radio Kerry remains the most listened to station in the county

Radio Kerry continues to be Kerry`s favourite radio station. Radio listenernership figures which have just been published show an increase in both listener figures and market share for the station. Radio Kerry now has a listened yesterday figure of 51% and a market share of 47% making it one of the most listened to local stations in the country.The station has more listeners in the county than RTE Radio One and 2fm combined, and has 3 times the listener ship of Today fm. Radio Kerry Chief Executive, Paul Byrne said that the results are very positive for the station and show continued growth in an increasingly competitive market. The figures show consistent increases in listener ship figures across all parts of the stations schedule.Listenership to weekend programming has also increased by over 20%. Mr Byrne thanked listeners for their continued support for Radio Kerry, and said that the station would continue to build on this growth in the future. Radio Kerry last week completed the acquisition of 2 other radio stations Shannon side and Northern Sound.
