Public submissions invited on section of proposed Tralee-Fenit Greenway

Kerry County Council is inviting submissions and observations regarding proposed works to construct the Tralee-Fenit Greenway. This work will take place at Bawnboy, Tralee.

Kerry County Council is inviting submissions and observations regarding proposed works to construct the Tralee-Fenit Greenway.

This work will take place at Bawnboy, Tralee.

The proposed development will consist of the construction of 1.3km of greenway and associated site works.

This greenway will form part of the Tralee-Fenit Greenway and will be for the sole use of pedestrians and cyclists.

The developemnt will consist of lifting the old railway tracks and removing topsoil, along with the construction of a 3m wide paved surface with 1m wide grass verges on each side.

This planned development will also involve boundary fencing, signage and road markings, traffic calming measures, drainage and pedestrian/cycle and agricultural crossing points and gates.

The plans are available for inspection at the Tralee Municipal District Office on Princes Quay, County Buildings in Rathass or online at www.kerrycoco.ie until September 3rd.

Submissions or observations can be made in writing; they must be clearly marked Tralee-Fenit Geenway (Bawnboy), Tralee, Co. Kerry and sent to Administrative Officer, Capital Infrastructure Unit, Kerry County Council, Tralee Municipal District Offices, Princes Quay, Tralee.

Submissions or observations can also be emailed to [email protected] before 5pm on September 4th.
