Public order and drunkenness offences in Kerry decrease

Public order and drunkenness offences in Kerry have decreased over the past year.
According to figures released at the recent Joint Policing Committee meeting, there were just over 1,030 public order and drunkenness offences reported to gardaí in Kerry during the first nine months of this year.
This represents a decrease of 3% on the same period in 2018, when over 1,060 offences were reported to gardaí.
Criminal damage offences in the county went in the opposite direction; they are up 3% to just under 290 offences over the nine-month period.
