A public meeting is being held in Rathmore this evening about plans by Kerry County Council to upgrade the town streetscape.
The works on the N72 in the east Kerry town include traffic calming on the Killarney side with reduced road width and two pedestrian crossings.
New parking areas will be developed to serve the post office, pubs and community centre, along with new bus stops.
Rathmore Community Council have organised a meeting for 8.30 tonight in the community centre for people to express their views.
The plans will also be on display in the centre on Thursday between 6 and 8pm where council engineers will be on hand to answer questions.
