Public advised not to send cash in the post this Christmas even if it’s registered

An PostDon’t send cash and jewellery in the post this Christmas even if it’s in a registered letter. That’s the warning from one Kerry woman who says cash gifts she registered arrived to family members with the money removed and the envelopes resealed. An Post are saying  money should never be sent by post even if it’s registered, as it’s not covered if it goes missing. They say they also have a special system in place for sending jewellery in the post.
