A protest is taking place in North Kerry in an effort to keep a post office open.
Kilflynn residents want An Post to withdraw their announced closure of the village post office and enter into discussions with the local community to ensure that the community has access to a post office service.
At least 4 out of 10 post offices in Kerry offered redundancy from An Post have said they will remain open.
A solidarity protest will take place at 4pm this evening, when Kilflynn Post Office will close for the final time.
Bec Fahy, a Kilflynn resident, says the post office is vital to the local community.
