Podge Collins To Return To Clare Hurling Panel

Clare GAAIt’s reported that Clare’s Podge Collins will play both football and hurling for the county next season. According to the Clare Champion the player will resume dual status after stepping away from the hurlers to concentrate solely on football this year. At that time hurling boss Davy Fitzgerald would not permit dual players but it’s belived his stance may have changed. Collins is currently recovering from a cruciate injury and will miss the early part of the year. Staying with Gaelic games and Galway county board has confirmed that they will appoint an independent mediator to oversee the talks between them , the players and hurling manager Anthony Cunningham. Cunningham was recently ratified for another season in charge however this was objected to by the squad.
