On Monday, the Minister for Higher and Further Education, Simon Harris, announced that a new third-level college would be built in Killarney on the site of the former Pretty Polly/ Sara Lee factory. It’s intended there will be 4,000 students on campus. Cormac Williams from Killarney says while he welcomes the news, he believes the site of the former St Finan’s Hospital would be more appropriate for the college.
