Kerry’s Shane Conway and Seán O’Shea have been named the best Electric Ireland Fitzgibbon and Sigerson Cup players.
Lixnaw man Conway was lethal from the dead ball for UCC as he scored 27 of his 38 points from frees across the campaign, leading UCC to the Fitzgibbon Cup.
His fellow Kerryman and freetaker O’Shea was just as vital to the college’s football team claiming the Sigerson title. The Kenmare man starred in the final win over St Mary’s, kicking seven points, five from frees.
There are 4 more Kerry men honoured in the Electric Ireland HE Rising Stars football team. O’Shea is included alongside Kerry team-mates Brian Ó Beaglaoich of An Ghaeltacht and Graham O’Sullivan of Dromid Pearses, countymen Padraig Lucey of Killarney Legion and Daniel O’Brien of Glenflesk.
