Plans for a 1.7 million euro business development centre for Listowel have been unveiled. The 10,500 square foot building will be located on a two acre site in Cliveragh. It will be made up of a number of units of varying size from meeting rooms to services rooms.According to Ogie Moran of Shannon Development the centre will be targeted at London and Dublin based businesses who want to move out of the city as well as start up companies. The units are scheduled to be completed by November of this year.Kevin thompstone of Shannon development says companies at embryonic stage require this type of flexible accommodation with modern telecommunications. He said it`s nice to have a good news story for Kerry after recent job losses in Rosenbluth, Sports Socks and Goblin. Mr Thompstone added that he hopes the success of companies like Spectra and Kerry Group will be replicated in the Cliveragh Business Park.
