Plans for a proposed windfarm in North Kerry are to be resubmitted.
Permission was refused by An Bord Pleanála earlier this year for an 8-turbine windfarm at Aghanagran Middle, Aghanagran Lower, Ballyline West and Tullahennell South, Ballylongford.
The application is due to be resubmitted.
Permission was previously refused by Kerry County Council, but the decision was appealed to An Bord Pleanála, who upheld the council’s decision.
JOAM Consulting Ltd., which is based in Cromane, has been appointed to carry out an environmental impact statement into the proposed development.
The public consultation aspect of the work has already commenced, with respondents asked to raise any concerns at this stage.
The original application had sought to construct an 8-turbine windfarm in the area; it’s unknown if the new application will seek to alter this.
