An issue concerning landlines and internet in the Gleann na nGealt area of Camp has been rectified.
Some homes had reportedly been without landline or internet access since Wednesday.
A spokesperson for eir has said there wasn’t a widespread outage – or a planned outage – but said a pole may have been damaged which may have caused problems for some customers in the area.
Brigid O’Connor, a customer in the area whose phoneline was affected, said she had no landline or internet for the past two days.
She said Gleann na Gealt is a rural area with poor mobile coverage – and that elderly people in the area depend on their landline for security:
