ESB Networks are reporting that there are still 16,500 customers without power in Kerry this evening. Crews have continued to work throughout the day to restore electricity to homes and businesses across the county. The ESB has advised that many of those currently without power are unlikely to have their supply back until the morning – and the company has appealed for patience from those affected. All available staff have been diverted to the worst impacted areas across the country to restore service to customers as quickly as possible. Eircom currently have 700 crews and 1,000 staff working nationwide.
