Opposition Papers are filed in Judge Brian Curtin’s Judicial Review

Lawyers for the state have filed opposition papers in Judge Brian Curtin`s judicial review proceedings. The Circuit Court Judge is seeking a declaration that the mechanism used by the Dail and the Senate to investigate alleged misbehaviour by him is unlawful and unconstitutional. The case was adjourned for mention on January 19th. Judge Curtin was acquitted of possessing child pornography in Tralee Circuit Criminal Court last April. For the last number of months a select committee of the Dail and Senate have been assessing his case.
