Only 20% of public servants want to move.

Early indications show that no more than 20% of higher civil and public servants want to move to the location chosen under the decentralisation plan. Sean O Riordan General Secretary of the Union says people living on the peripherary of Dublin were happly to accept jobs in neighbouring counties.However civil and public servants are slow to move down the country. Sean O Riordan says members based in Dublin were concerned about the impact the process would have on their families and their careers. Speaking to Radio Kerry News Sean O Riordan said they have no idea if higher public or civil servants want to move to Kerry.
