Number of medical card holders in the county fall

Since 1997 the number of people with medical cards in the county has fallen by five and a half thousand. According to figures obtained by The Labour Party just over 41,000 people in the county have a medical card at the moment. This has fallen from 49,000 despite Government promises to increase the numbers with cards. South Kerry Deputy Breda Moynihan Cronin says the threshold must be lowered.
