Number of drivers detected under the influence of alcohol and drugs has increased

The number of drivers detected under the influence of alcohol and drugs has increased last year.

According to figures from the Kerry Division of An Garda Siochana, up to the week preceding Christmas, 325 people were detected driving under the influence.

This represents an 11% increase on 2016.


Chief Superintendent of the Kerry Division, Tom Myers is asking those socialising to take personal responsibility.
