Number of burglaries reported in Kerry has decreased over the past year

The number of burglaries reported in Kerry has decreased over the past year.
According to information released at the recent Joint Policing Committee meeting, there were just under 200 burglaries reported to gardaí in Kerry during the first nine months of this year.
This represents a decrease of 8% on the same period in 2018, when 213 burglaries were reported to gardaí.
Overall, property crimes – which include thefts and burglaries – increased marginally over the period, up 3% to just under 1000 offences over the nine-month period.
