Non-urgent patients may experience significant delays at University Hospital Kerry

The HSE says University Hospital Kerry is reporting an increased level of activity and  is advising that non-urgent patients may experience significant delays.
Hospital management are requesting that, where appropriate and if their needs are not urgent, the public contact their GP first and explore all other options available to them, before going to the hospital’s emergency department.
The hospital says it wants to take this opportunity to assure the public and service users that every effort is being made to address this situation.
It says patient care is paramount at UHK and the situation is being managed as a priority and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
