Fine Gael Kerry Senator Paul Coghlan says he has received confirmation from the Minister of State for Disability that there is no imminent closure set for St. Mary of the Angels in Beaufort.
In a letter to the Seanad Leas Cathaoirleach Minister Finian McGrath also said that no patient will be moved against their will.
The Minister further confirmed that full consultations will take place with all the families involved.
The Taoiseach also said in the Dail this week that there was no imminent closure involved with St Mary of the Angels.
He was responding to a question posed by Kerry Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae.
