The Minister for Arts and Culture has announced funding of €25,000 for Listowel Writers’ Week.

Ireland’s oldest literary and arts festival kicked off in Listowel on Wednesday, and will run until Sunday.

Minister for Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan, is in Listowel today and has made a funding announcement of €25,000 for this year’s festival.

Minister O’Donovan says he’s looking forward to a really positive Writers’ Week in Listowel.
