The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 631 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
As of 8am today, 50 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 15 are in ICU.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tony Holohan, said over 600 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were being reported today for the first time since late April.

He said this is a cause of concern and shows that this disease is prevalent in our communities again.
