There were 332 registered births in Kerry in the second quarter of last year.
That’s according to the CSO, which shows the county has a birth rate of 7.8.
173 babies born in Kerry between April and June were female, while 159 were male.

The 30 -34 age category accounted for the highest number of births registered by age of mother, with 115.
The figures show the average age of first-time mothers in Kerry during the second quarter of 2025 was 31.7 years.
