The Department of Health has reported 23,281 new cases of COVID-19 today - the highest daily total of cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
As of 8am this morning, there are 656 COVID-19 patients in Irish hospitals, down 26 since yesterday.
85 of these patients are in ICU, down 1 from yesterday.
