1,725 new COVID-19 cases reported this afternoon

The Department of Health has reported 1,725 new cases of Covid-19 in Ireland today.

As of 8am today, 473 people were hospitalised with the virus - an increase of 23 since yesterday.

97 people with COVID-19 are in the country's Intensive Care Units - that's an increase of four since yesterday.
