The Department of Health has reported 1,427 new cases of covid-19 this evening.
The figure is a decrease of 74 on yesterday's figure.
There are currently 164 people in hospital with the virus - of which 26 are in intensive care units.

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Officer says Ireland has reached the milestone of 300,000 cases reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
Dr Tony Holohan is urging anyone who is eligible for a covid vaccine, to avail of one as soon as possible.
