wind turbine   A committee has been formed against a proposed wind turbine application for north Kerry. The plans, which are at pre-planning stage, are being submitted by Stack’s Windfarm Ltd for the Finuge/Ballyhorgan area. Over 100 people attended a public meeting about the proposal at Dromclough National school last night. The newly formed group say they will be seeking advice and will fight any proposed application. Stacks Windfarm Ltd, says the site is within an area identified in the Kerry County Development Plan as having the capacity to support wind development. A number of local people say they are concerned about the prospect of devaluing their homes and the height of the turbines. Ger Doyle, is a member of the committee that is against the wind farm.
