New tourism project launched in Iveragh region

The project will focus on using natural heritage as a tourism asset and enhancing the quality and impact of ecotourism in the participating communities. Through a collective partnership with University College Cork, Kerry County Council and South Kerry Development Partnership CLG. The LIVE (Llŷn IVeragh Ecomuseums) project brings together partners from both Ireland and Wales and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Cooperation Programme. A new tourism project is being launched in the Iveragh region.

 

The Eco-Tourism project will focus on using natural heritage as a tourism asset.

The initiative has been launched by University College Cork, Kerry County Council and South Kerry Development Partnership and will see a collaboration with the Llyn Peninsula in Wales.

The concept enables communities to co-market their natural and cultural assets to create sustainable tourism.

 

This project, which will run for three years, will involve training, networking and workshop events.
