New three point plan introduced to cut wait for driving tests

The Government has introduced a three point plan in order to cut the backlog of people waiting for driving tests in Kerry. At the moment those waiting for driving tests in Killarney now have to wait 41 weeks, while drivers in Tralee have to wait 32 weeks. New testers are to be recruited, existing staff urged to do more and private testers will also be hired in order to alleviate the back lodge. Nationally the number of people on waiting list is growing by 1500 a month.
