Work will begin in the coming weeks on a new modular building at University Hospital Kerry.
This new unit will be located at the front of the hospital, adjacent to the outpatient department.
It will have a dedicated infusion suite, as well as a pre-assessment unit and a booking office; these were previously run out of UHK's day ward.

This new building is being established in response to the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anyone scheduled for surgery at UHK over the coming months will be contacted by hospital staff to arrange an appointment at this new unit.
